Daly Trailhead (2020-08-16) I walked up the Daly Trail which is at the top of Park City Main Street.
Daisies Along the Daly Trail (2020-08-16) I took this walk in August. The trail passed numerous varieties of daisies.
Lock Combo (2020-08-17) This gate to Daly Canyon is interesting in that it has four interconnected locks. I guess there are different agencies that want access to the road.
Stinging Nettle (2020-08-17) There was some stinging nettle alongside the creek. I understand that this is a favorite plant for people into native remedies.
Waterwork Building (2020-08-17) The trail passes a mysterious box shaped building that makes strange sounds. I assume it is part of Park City's water works.
Box Building (2020-08-17) A second photo of the waterwork building on the Daly trail.
Daly Daisies (2020-08-17) A second display of Daisies on the Daly trail
Daly Avenue Trail (2020-08-17) The trail is just a gravel road blocked to traffic. This road would have seen a great deal of usage during Park City's mining day.

Coneflower (2020-08-17) There were several coneflowers; however, the appeared to be beyond their prime.
Coneflowers (2020-08-17) Coneflower is good at catching the wind making them difficult to photograph.
Colorful Thistles (2020-08-17) There were many colorful thistles along the trail. Again, thistles are in the Aster family.
Profile of a Thistle (2020-08-17) This is a profile of a Thistle in Daly Canyon.
Looking Toward Park City (2020-08-17) This is on the Daly Avenue trail about a mile up from Main Street Park City.
Daly Avenue Trail (2020-08-17) The Daly Avenue trail is a pleasant walk.
Abandonned Tower (2020-08-17) There are abandoned mineworks along the hillside.
Bubbling Brook (2020-08-17) There is a bubbling brook along side the road. I believe it is Willow Creek. The creek runs through Park City proper.
Park City Water Tower (2020-08-17) The Daly Avenue Trail passes a large water tower.
Water Level (2020-08-17) This is my attempt to to take an artsy picture of the scale on the side of the Water Tower.
Gushing Water (2020-08-17) This pipe was alongside the water tower. Water was gushing from the pipe. All of the water in the brook seems to be coming from this pipe. This might be a water reclamation project from the abandoned mines.
Daly Avenue Waterworks (2020-08-17) This shows the water works on the Daly Avenue Trail above Park City.
Daly Avenue Canyon (2020-08-17) Daly Avenue goes through a fine mountain canyon. This is probably what Park City looked like before the put a town in the canyon.
Judge Mine (2020-08-17) This is the office built next to the Judge Mine Tunnel. The office was build in 1920. The tunnel was started in 1889 with the goal of draining the Ontario Mine.
Roof Challenged Building (2020-08-17) This is a roof-challenged building at the mine works in Daly Avenue.
Abandonned Buildings (2020-08-17) These are some abandoned buildings from Park City's glorious mining days.

The Daly trail is a fun day hike in Park City. Park City Main Street turns into Daly Avenue. One passes a large number of fun houses and the paved road turns to dirt.
This is a popular route for cyclists and hikers in Park City. The route passes waterworks and the entrance to the history Judge Mine and Smelter company which was one of the mines that put Park City on the map.
