Ogden, Utah Ogden is considered by many to be Utah's Second City. The city has a long history as a railroad town and sports a combination of industrial, high tech and recreational opportunities.
Ogden was one of the original boom towns of the Utah. It gained early fame as a transit hub after the driving of the golden spike on May 10, 1869 at promotory point. Served by Interstates 15 and 84, Ogden continues to be a major hub for interstate transit.
On April 26, 2008, train service resumed to Ogden in the form of the UTA Frontrunner commuter rail which connects to Salt Lake and will hopefully expand with time.
Odgen has a long history as as central railroad hub. Served by Interstates 15 and 84, the town is also a motor hub. Major employers in the area include Hills Air Force Base, Autoliv and Weber State University.
