Strawberry Reservoir is a reservoir on the Southern End of the Uintah Mountains. With an elevation of 7602 feet, Strawberry Reservoir is Utah's leading cold water fishery, with an abundance of cutthroat and rainbow trout. The Department of Wildlife estimates that the fishermen spend over 1.5 millions angling hours on the lake annually.
The reservoir is accessible on US40 between Vernal, Utah and Heber City.
The dam for the lake was completed in 1922. The dam was upgraded as part of the Central Utah Project. Some of the water from the lake is diverted from the Green River drainage into Bonneville Basin.
