Painted Rocks Reservoir is a State Park in Western Montana. The Reservoir is in the Bitterroot Mountains on the West Fork of the Bitterroot River.

The dam was built in 1939, with the primary goal of providing irrigation. The dam is 800 feet long and 143 feet high. The ejournal The Painted Rock Guardian has the dam's history and current levels.
