Old Irontown State Park is historical display in the Northern Reaches of the Pine Valley Mountains West of Cedar City . The park has a short trail that winds past the old charcoal kiln and the remains of foundations of buildings.
Both Iron Town (and Cedar City for that matter) were established by the Iron Mission in the 1850s. This goal of the Iron Mission was to provide Utah's early pioneers with iron products.
