The term "deseret" appeared in the Book of Mormon. Some think it is related to honeybees. Mormon Pioneers claimed a huge region that included Western Colorado, Utah, Nevada and Southern California as Deseret. Some pioneers hoped to establish a separate country. Others hoped to establish a state.
The term "Deseret" is often used for LDS Owned businesses such as Deseret Books, the Deseret News and Deseret Industries. This gallery will show images featuring the Deseret brand.
