Observation Tower (10/22/2005) When visiting Grand Junction, you will want to climb to the top of Museum of Western Colorado's observation tower for a wonderful view of the surrounding terrain. Sadly, the tower is not open at first light.

Museum of Western Colorado. This facility provides historical and cultural exhibits. The highlight of the facility is a large observation tower that is about 5 stories high.
The desk clerk suggested that I take the elevator. I took the stairs. Five stories does a good job stretching the legs without breaking a sweat. The tower provides views of Grand Junction, Colorado National Monument and the Book Cliffs.
