The goal of the ProtoPhoto.com site is to take pictures from the local community. In 2009, I decided to try my hand at taking pictures of Christmas decorations. The goal is not to create a professional collection of Christmas Light photos. Rather it is to display a few of the Christmas lights that exist in town.
In the last several years, there has been some major improvements in Christmas lighting. The new LED Christmas Lights use a fraction of the energy of conventional strings of lights and they last longer. With improved lighting, it is likely that we will see even more decorative lighting in the years to come:
