Thanksgiving Pies () A selection of home made pies for Thanksgiving.

Thanks Giving Turkey (2010-11-27) The 2010 Thanksgiving Turkey.

Prep the Beans (2014-01-01) The first step is to prep the beans. I started the garbanzo beans an hour before starting the chili. Granny acquired this wonderful copper bottom pot in 1951. Granny takes care of her stuff.

Pies (2018-11-29) These are the pies served during our Thanksgiving Feast. I had a half slice of the pecan pie and the peach cobbler.

Restocking the Wine Cellar (2020-08-05) Bottles of wine are a great inflation hedge.

Cooking Set Up (2020-12-15) This is my current set up for outdoor cooking. I have a wok and a dutch oven that I use on a rocket stove placed on a broken grill that I found discarded on the roadside. The wood fire gives the wok a deep patina.

Apples (2021-09-10) I took pictures of two apples for a Post about the Jewish Scriptures.

Snicker Doodles (2021-09-30) I baked a batch of cookies to ward off an early Fall cold snap

Beehive - Thaw - Rise - Bake (2022-12-28) I found these Beehive Roles in a discount bin. I bought them to make a post on HIVE.

Beehive Rolls (2022-12-28) These are the Beehive Rolls left to rise. They didn't rise. Perhaps they were damaged in shipping.

Pushed Together (2022-12-28) I decided to push the rolls together so that they would meld in to each other while cooking.

The Final Product (2022-12-28) I cooked the rolls for several minutes longer than the recipe required. The rolls were still too doughy. It could be that the rolls had been thawed and refrozen which is why they were on sale in the store.

Carrot Cake (2023-05-22) I decided to try my hand at a carrot cake. While the cake was not pretty it tasted a lot better than the cakes in stores.

I confess, I am much more interested in the nutritional value of food than its display. I started this section simply because I had a picture of a Thanksgiving Turkey. But we will see. The gallery might grow.
